Earrings from an old handbag

There are no many decorations; every woman will agree with this. However, acquiring them more and more is sometimes not possible. Yes, and we won’t please: either the size is small, or you want something like that that would ideally suit the color of the eyes, dress or a common wardrobe. If you are familiar with this problem, take some time to craft. For example, below we will explain how to easily and quickly make stylish vintage earrings from improvised means.
What is useful:
- old handbag;
needle with thread;
scissors of two types;
-circular pliers (if any);
-Ready rings and earrings for earrings, which you can buy in the hardware store.
The whole process will take about half an hour.
1. First of all, we look in the home cabinets for an old shabby handbag, which is a pity to throw away, but nowhere to put it. It should be made of more or less durable material. In this case, leatherette was used. Cut a piece of about 10x10 cm. Tip: choose the smoothest surface on your purse, preferably not at the fold.
2. From the extracted raw materials, cut out two rectangles. The approximate size is 5x4 cm. It all depends on your imagination and appearance. It is advisable to select medium-sized jewelry in fine features, and vice versa.
3. We add each rectangle in such a way as to make a bow. It will be beautiful if only the middle “wave” is convex from the supposed outside of the earrings, as in the photo. Fold the pieces in half first, and then fold the edges up.
4. We fix the shape of the bow with the help of threads of any color (we will close the fastening place).
5. From the remaining piece of the bag, cut out thin strips about 2 cm long. If the material does not stretch, make them longer. Then carefully apply the blanks to the middle of the bows. Here we already take the threads of the appropriate color and a couple of stitches we fasten the stripes on the back of the future earrings. Now they get a more complete cute look.
6. And here the fun begins: the blanks turn into real jewelry. Ready-made accessories can be bought in specialized stores or even made at home, giving the necessary shape to the copper wire. However, if you are not comfortable with these options, use the following secret. Each woman has a pair of jewelry at home, which were bought in a fit of emotion and are now rarely worn. Why not give them a new life by simply removing the necessary parts for their craft?
7. Using round-nose pliers (nails, teeth, or whatever else is at hand) half-disconnect the rings.
8. Now we thread them into ribbons on earrings, as in the photo. Do this extremely carefully so as not to pierce the material. Then, using a tool (ordinary pliers are also suitable here), squeeze the ring tightly. We hide the bend place under the tape. In the ring we thread the shvenza.
