Beautiful knitted decoration for children's clothing! Crocheting a peacock is very simple. This is a bright and unusual addition to any sweater, knitted dress or tunic.

For knitting it is necessary to use the natural colors of this bird - blue, yellow, blue and, of course, a thin crochet hook (2.5 mm).

We start knitting with the breast. We collect 10 air loops, which we further knit in a column with 1 double crochet.

From the last loop of the row we knit immediately 3 tbsp./s 1 n, so that this end is rounded. We continue to bind the chain of st./s 1 n from the bottom.

Having tied to the limit, this time we act differently: we finish the row and start a new one from the set mark.

Now, “on a bend” from each loop we knit 2 tbsp / s 1 n (repeat 7-8 times).

In total, we knit about 6-7 such semi-oval rows, leaving one end even.

This flat side will become a place for the formation of the tail, which is first knitted with yellow yarn (3 st. / S 2 n from one loop with a pass in one column).
The second row of tail is again occupied by blue yarn, from which this time knit columns without a crochet.

Blue thread will work only once and only in the third row of the magnificent peacock tail. Through one column, 3 loops should be pulled immediately, alternating them with the crochets, and then tightened together. So it turns out the "tubercle", which as a whole should consist of 7-8 loops (including yarn).

After each such "tubercle" knit 2 in. P.

It is under these loops in the next row that they knit 4 tbsp./s 1 n, again making the distance between them at 2 in. P.

The tail is again completed by "tubercles" of yellow thread, which are tied from 2 intermediate air loops of the previous row.

We knit the head in a circular viscous st. / S 1 N. We make a beak and a crest from air loops.

At the end of each crest of feather we make a circle (connecting the 8th and 5th loops).

We knit the neck directly from the head, after which we sew to the body of the bird.

We do the same with the paws, only they should be made a little thinner, so we knit the chain st / b. n

If desired, the tail can be decorated with beads or sequins, but such a bird is already ready to become an ornament.
