In this review, the author decided to remake a cheap ax to get a more original product that can be used as a decor element for a home workshop.
The process of refinement or “upgrade” itself is not very complicated, so everyone can repeat this “trick” (if desired, of course).
First of all, you will need to remove the ax from the ax. Then, using a grinder, the master cleans the surface of the ax to the brilliance of the metal.

Welds will need to be cleaned with a grinder. After that, the author polishes the entire surface of the ax to smooth out all the rough transitions.
Instead of a wooden hatchet, the author decided to use a metal handle made from a piece of chain.
We pull the chain, and then weld the chain links together. Then all welds will need to be cleaned with a grinder.
We insert the end of the chain into the eye of the ax, set it at a right angle, and scald.
At the last stage, it remains only to once again clean the ax itself (after welding), and paint the handle. Then we varnish.
