In this review, the author shows how to make a do-it-yourself simple homemade tool for convenient disassembly of wooden pallets. This is such an alternative to the usual nail clipper.
To make this device you will need an old chopper-hoe, a piece of steel pipe that will be used as a handle, and a small wooden chop.
If you do not have such a hoe-hoe, then you can use a piece of a regular metal plate 3-4 mm thick, only in this case you will additionally have to weld the handle mount.
The main stages of work
First of all, the author makes a marking, and then, using a grinder with a cutting disc for metal, cuts out a piece of a triangular shape from a hoe.
Next, using the same grinder, it will be necessary to make a working groove, which is designed to grab and hold the nail head.
At the next stage, the author proceeds to manufacture the pen. To do this, he cuts a piece of metal pipe of suitable length, puts a piece of pipe of a larger diameter on it and scalds it.
Then, in the lower part of the handle, it will be necessary to make a small longitudinal slot with the help of a grinder. You will also need to make a wooden chopped cone.
Now it remains only to paint the metal parts, and you can proceed with the assembly. We put a chopper on the end of the handle and wedge the pipe with a wooden chopper. Then we saw off the excess with a hacksaw on a tree.
