Whoever has a summer cottage or even just a piece of land on which any vegetable crops or berries are planted, they know how difficult it is to deal with "seasoned" pests - slugs and snails.

In this review, the author offers an idea that will help to effectively combat nasty sticky pests. It's about a makeshift trap.

The author made it on a 3D printer, but you can make a similar device from improvised materials. The design of the trap itself is very simple - several entrances and a central part with a lid.

How to catch slugs and snails

All that needs to be done is to fill the trap's container with sweet sparkling water or beer, and wait for the slugs to get into the trap themselves.

Once inside the flask with a liquid "bait", the slugs can no longer get out. And after a while they just drown.

That's just how you can fight with slugs and snails in the suburban area. If it is not possible to make just such a device, then there is an easier option.

It is enough to take any unnecessary container and fill it with beer or sweet sparkling water. And so that it was convenient for pests to climb there, put ladders from pieces of board, plywood, etc.

The meaning of this trap is that you do not have to collect slugs with your hands. You can see a more detailed overview of the slug and snail trap in the video on our website.
