When in-line work on a drilling machine (especially for large volumes of work), it is necessary to quickly clamp parts and workpieces. And for this, you can use a simple home-made device - a vertical clamp to fix the workpieces.
To make this device is very simple, and it does not take much time. Of the basic materials, two bolts, a piece of a metal plate, and nuts of different diameters will be required.
And the first thing you need to weld a nut to one of the bolts. The weld will need to be cleaned with a grinder (angle grinder) with a flap circle.
The main stages of work
In the next step, cut a piece of metal strip or rectangular plate with a length of 80 mm. You will need to weld it to the first bolt with nut.
Actually, the device is already ready - it remains only to install it on the desktop of the drilling machine. This will require a second long bolt, a pair of ordinary nuts and two metal washers.
And also note that the nut welded to the first bolt must be larger in diameter than the second bolt so that it passes freely through it. When everything is ready, then proceed to the assembly.
We insert a bolt into the hole in the working table of the drilling machine, fix it with a nut. Then we put on the second bolt and also clamp it with a nut.
