From a regular car jack, you can do it yourself do-it-yourself homemade work - a hydraulic press for a home workshop or garage.
In this case, a bottle-type jack with a carrying capacity of up to 30 tons is used, but a 20-ton truck is quite enough for a home workshop.
Also required profile pipes and pieces of the corner. Moreover, the wall thickness of the profile should be at least 5 mm.
Instead of a profile pipe, you can also use a channel - from it the design will be much stronger and more reliable.
The main stages of work
The author makes the foundation of the construction from a building corner: three segments are welded together in the shape of the letter "H".
The main part is a U-shaped frame, which is made of a profile pipe. In the racks you need to drill holes for the locking fingers.
Adjustable support (lower) and movable (upper) metal beams are also made of a square profile pipe measuring 80x80 mm. The master cuts the locking fingers of the required length from the steel round timber.
Assembly assembly
After all the elements are made, they need to be sanded, primed and painted. Then the author proceeds with the assembly.
Next, you need to make a return mechanism: the upper thrust beam and the movable crossbar must be connected to each other using springs.
