Making a home interior with a painting is one of the most accessible and simple ways to transform and decorate a living room, whether it is a bedroom or a living room.
Moreover, the picture does not have to be bought for money. It is easy to draw it yourself, just showing a little imagination.
To create this small “home” masterpiece, the author uses sheet metal, plywood, masking tape, stationery tape, glue, a primer and some paint. If you are not good at drawing, you can make a stencil on a plotter.
The main stages of work
And first of all, it is necessary to cut off a piece of sheet metal that is suitable in size, on which the portrait will be captured. However, it can be any other image - for example, a landscape.
Then, from plywood, the author makes the foundation on which the painting will be located. The base itself is then attached to the wall. A piece of sheet metal must be glued onto a plywood sheet.
The next step is to stick on the entire metal surface strips of masking tape. On them, the author draws a portrait by hand. But you can use a ready-made stencil.
Painting process
Next, you need to carefully draw a clerical knife or razor blade along the outer contour of the drawing. Then the excess pieces of masking tape must be removed. Ultimately, only the "silhouette" of the picture should remain.
Next, the author primers the surface of the metal, and then applies one coat of paint. Then masking tape needs to be removed. The result is an almost finished picture. But to add originality to it, the author makes the final touch “paint” from rust.
