A rotating flower bed made from pieces of a profile pipe is a very unusual device that looks great and attracts attention. It is not difficult to make it yourself, the main thing is to know from what and how to do it.
Moreover, this home-made flower garden performs two functions at the same time: it acts as an original stand for flower pots, and is also a decoration of a personal plot.
For a rotating wheel, the author chose a profile of 15 * 15 mm. According to the diameter of the ring 96 cm, the spokes in the center to the axis are welded to a large round washer. On the inside, conventional washers for bolts with a 14 mm hole.
The main stages of work
The axles for pendants are made of steel wire with a diameter of 8 mm, then the author cuts them, and small rods remain from them on the sides, so that you can hang pendants with baskets.
On both sides of the wheel, the axle edges protrude 5 cm, they are for hinges, since the wheel will rotate on bushings of 15 pipes.
The support on which the wheel will stand and rotate is also welded from a profile of 15 * 15 mm. Metal washers are put on the axis (in front of the bushings) to close the weld seam, as well as for better wheel sliding.
Pendants baskets are made of 3 mm thick sheet metal, small rings are made of steel wire with a diameter of 6 mm. The blanks for hooks are 25 cm long. The blanks for large rings are made of 6 mm wire.
