To clean the roof of the mini van from fallen leaves or dirt, it is necessary to build some scaffolds, because from the ground you can’t reach the right place. However, you can simplify the task, and make a suspended "step".
This is a very simple device - it can come in handy for someone. First of all, it is necessary to cut off two pieces of a plate about 10-12 mm thick and 30 cm long. Steps will be made of these plates.
After that, it is necessary to cut off two pieces of the profile pipe of different lengths, as well as two "shorties" from the profile of a larger section. They need to drill two holes next to each other. Next, the master welds the "shorties" to a long plate.
The main stages of work
The master welds the steps to the profile pipes: one plate to the short, and the second to the long. Please note that the wall thickness of the profile must be at least 3-4 mm in order to support the weight of an adult.
Each step can be fixed at different heights, which is very convenient. Then from the thick steel bar you need to make a hook that is welded to the main plate. The design is ready!
It remains only to grind the welds and grind the parts. The master decided to stick thick foam rubber to the back of this device so as not to scratch the car body.
