Do you want your home interior to look unusual? Then put a little emphasis on small details that will add variety to your familiar environment. For example, you can make your own stylish wall clock made of wood and epoxy with dye.

Another key element of a wall clock is a clock with arrows. It can be ordered on the Internet, bought in a store or removed from other, for example, cheap Chinese watches.

The main stages of work

First of all, it is necessary to glue two planks of the same size from wooden planks. Then, using a compass, draw a circle of suitable diameter, and inside, another smaller circle. Using a protractor, 12 points should be noted on the dial every 30 degrees.

At the next stage, we make holes of different diameters in marked places with pen drills. Then the dial must be glued to the second board. Next, we dilute the epoxy resin with a hardener, add dye and fill in the drilled holes with this composition.

After the epoxy hardens, we grind the surface using a grinder or a grinder with a petal disk. Then, in a new outline, draw a circle of the desired diameter and cut out the watch dial with a jigsaw.

Finishing touch

In the center we drill a small hole, and on the reverse side with a milling cutter we select a seat under the clockwork. The edges of the wooden dial cut by a jigsaw are aligned on a belt grinder. The surface can be coated with mineral oil or colorless varnish.

Using hot-melt adhesive, we fix the clockwork to the back of the dial and set the hands. At the very last moment we do the fastening so that you can hang the clock on the wall.
