This device will be especially useful for those who often work with foil-reinforced polyethylene pipes. Moreover, such a nozzle can be made from improvised materials within one hour. Well, let's get to work?
Manufacturing process
For this device, you will need to find it in the garage or ask a neighbor for a piece of steel pipe with a diameter of 57 mm, from which you will then need to cut a piece of 6 cm in length. It is desirable that the dimensions are metered precisely.
After that, it is necessary to clean the pipe section from dirt, old paint and rust, if any visual “defects” are present. If the pipe is clean, then you can immediately proceed to the next stage of work - weld the valve from the car engine to one side of the pipe.
Next, you need to cut off the valve leg approximately in the middle. In a pre-marked area of the pipe body, a hole with a diameter of 8 mm must be drilled. That's all, actually - the nozzle for an electric drill or screwdriver is ready for use.
Nozzle application
Those who work with foil-reinforced polypropylene pipes know that before brazing such pipes, the aluminum winding must first be removed. And for this purpose a special sharpener is intended. That's just manual (especially when the amount of work is large) to do this for a very long time.
Using this nozzle, you can not only speed up the process of removing aluminum foil, but also improve the quality of work. The process of manufacturing this homemade product, as well as its practical application, you can see in the video on our website.
