To protect the plants in the greenhouse from excessive solar radiation, the author decided to make a frame for a special shading grid.
Of course, you can simply throw the grid on top of the greenhouse and fix it, but this will not solve the problem in full.
For greater efficiency, there should be a small gap between the greenhouse and the shading net. That's why the frame is needed.
The basis of the home-made frame is the stand-holders for furniture pipes with a diameter of 25 mm.
In this case, two types of holders are used: reinforced, which are installed along the edges of the greenhouse (along the side walls), and adjustable.
Adjustable holders attach directly to the aluminum profile instead of tightening screws.
When installing it, a rubber gasket is used, which prevents moisture from entering the greenhouse through holes drilled in the aluminum profile.
The main stages of work
As the supporting elements of the frame for the shading mesh, PND pipe sections with a diameter of 25 mm are used. They are threaded through the rings of the carcass struts that support the pipes.
First, side racks from the HDPE pipe are installed, and then intermediate ones.
To make it easier to fix the shading grid, the top and bottom ends of the vertical HDPE pipes are joined together using fittings and pipe pieces.
After the author has fixed the frame, a shading grid is pulled over it - for fastening, clips made by hand from scraps of HDPE pipes are used.
