A home-made edge clamp with three screws and an all-metal bracket made of a large gear wheel has a C-shape and has a fairly high strength.
This clamp is designed to work with wooden blanks, artificial stone and metal. It can also be adapted for welding. In general, an edge clamp is perfect for fixing wooden frames, platbands, etc.
To make it, you will need two halves of a large gear wheel, as well as three bushings and three clamping "five-copeck coins". You will also need to cut three screws of the same length. All these details, except for a gear, the master turned on a lathe.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, it is necessary to connect by welding two halves of the gear wheel and three bushings (two on the sides and one in the middle of the steel bracket) into which the screws will then be screwed.
After that, it is necessary to cut off three identical screws and weld the knobs to them, so that it would be convenient to unscrew and tighten them.
In the end, it remains only to fix the clamping “five-copeck pins" that the master made on the lathe at the ends of the screws. On this homemade product is completely ready.
