In the process of performing any work in the home workshop or garage, there is always a risk of injury (cut, burn, bruise, etc.). Therefore, a first aid kit with a basic set of medicines should always be at hand.
And you can make it from an old fire extinguisher. As a basis for homemade work, absolutely any type of fire extinguisher is suitable, which can be obtained at a metal reception or, for example, from a neighbor in a garage.
If possible, it is better to choose a medium-sized balloon so that a sufficient amount of medication can fit inside the container and, if necessary, the first-aid kit can be taken with you.
The main stages of work
First, mark the surface of the fire extinguisher cylinder to cut out the door. Using a grinder, we make the upper cut and drill holes for two furniture hinges. Then cut through the rest of the door.
Then you need to remove the contents of the fire extinguisher, as well as to chamfer the edges of the cut out "window" and the door itself to remove burrs. As an option, you can walk through the metal file.
Next, we remove the siphon tube from the cylinder of the fire extinguisher, install the locking and starting device back. We cut out the disk from sheet metal and insert it inside the container itself - it will serve as a dividing wall.
At the last stage of work, we paint the cylinder of the fire extinguisher from the inside and outside, and also fasten the door to hinges - rivets are best used as fasteners.
