Translated, "chaise lounge" literally means a long chair, which exactly determines its purpose - you can easily straighten up to its full height on it. This chaise longue is universal in use as it can be put both in the apartment or the house, and on the street (for example, on the seasonal dacha).
The main stages of work
A metal sheet with a thickness of 5-6 mm is used as the base of the deck chair. It needs to be cut to size and bent in three places. To do this, you first need to make a wooden template, according to which then we will bend the steel sheet.
On the surface of the base we make markings - draw lines in the places of bending, and cut through the grinder by about 1/3 of the thickness of the sheet. Then, using improvised means (a metal corner and bars that act as levers) we give the base the desired shape.
At the next stage of work, it is necessary to make a wooden frame from wedge-shaped bars and transverse support rails, which will make the design of the deck chair more rigid. Before assembly, we grind the surface of the steel sheet and the wooden frame.
As a soft coating, felt 6-8 mm thick is used. We cut the felt according to the size of the deck chair, at the edges we make "inserts" of neodymium magnets, cover with a cloth and fasten to the steel surface of the base.
