Such a homemade device is useful in any home workshop - with its help you can fasten wooden blocks at an angle of 90 degrees with bolts or self-tapping screws. This homemade product will be useful in the manufacture of wooden boxes, frames, as well as other carpentry. This device will also be useful in the process of assembling cabinet furniture.

The main stages of work

As a basis, you can use a suitable piece of plywood 20 mm thick or square boards. It will also require two pieces of aluminum corner 15-25 cm long, in which you need to drill three holes for attaching to the base.

The corners are set at a right angle (the angle is checked by a square) and screwed to the wooden base onto screws. In two rectangular bars we drill a hole for the M10 pin and cut the thread, and in the lower part we need to make four more holes for screws.

We stick the bars to the ends of the clamp base - opposite the aluminum corners and for reliability we fasten them with screws. You will also need two more wooden bars, in the center of which you need to make a landing "nest" for the bearings (it is better to stick them on an epoxy). A pin is inserted into the hole in the bearings - as a result, clamping jaws are obtained.

Features of use

It is very simple to work with such a fixture: we put two wooden or metal blanks on the base, which must be connected at right angles, pressed to the aluminum corners (we twist the pin all the way), after which you can fasten them with bolts or self-tapping screws. A detailed manufacturing process of this device, see the video on the site.
