To sew such a pillow you will need the following materials:
- the fabric is dense (preferably slightly stretching) 1x1.5 meters;
- white fabric (stretching) for the eyes of 15x30 centimeters;
- fabric brown or black for the nose 15x15 centimeters;
- threads are black, white and in the color of the main fabric;
- buttons 2 pieces black and 2 pieces in the color of the main fabric (instead of the second pair of buttons, you can take a zipper to match the main fabric);
- the basis for a rectangular pillow (pre-filled with a suitable filler).
First you need to cut out all the details from a piece of fabric. You need to do this according to the following pattern. Sizes are calculated based on what size the pillow is planned to be and what size the pillow base is sewn.
Then you should flash all the small details. The tail and legs are stitched indented about 1 centimeter from the edge of the fabric. Turn to the front.
The fabric for the body is sewn in width, taking into account the fact that the smell will be overlapped.
Ear blanks are two isosceles triangles. Roll each part in half along the line from the top to the base and stitch along the edge.
Then turn the ears and sew to the head. To do this, fold both parts of the head facing inward. Ears put vertices inward between the parts for the head. Indent about a centimeter and carefully sew along the edge, without suturing about 5-10 centimeters in order to turn the head to the front side from the wrong side.
Now the legs, tail and trunk are sewn together. The base for the body is sewn so that part of the fabric is overlapped.
Now you need to make a “face” to the cat. To do this, two circles are cut out of white fabric. Sew a circle around the edge manually with a needle with a white thread.
Insert filler inside, tighten the thread. It will turn out a kind of bag. Gently flash it to get a ball.
Sew eyes to the cat's face. Sew black buttons in the center of the “squirrel” - these are the “pupils”. Sew so that the ball of "protein" was stitched through - so the eyes will hold more firmly.
Make the nose the same way. Sew it to the face.
Embroider the cat’s mouth under the back seam under the nose.
After the muzzle is made, the cat's head is stuffed with a suitable filler. The hole is sewn with a blind seam. The head is sewn to the body.
In the place where the hole for pulling the cover on the base of the pillow is located, you need to sew 2 buttons (or a zipper).
At the end of the work, expand the fabric of the cover and iron, cut and remove the extra threads.
Decorative pillow cat is ready.
It can be presented or kept as a convenient, functional and unusual decoration of the interior.
