A do-it-yourself swing bed is a great idea for a summer residence. The bed itself is laid out, designed for two berths.
The width of the structure is 2.53 m and the depth is 2.5 meters. The seat and backrest have dimensions 190 * 60 cm. And when unfolded, the size of the bed is 1.9x1.2 meters.
Racks are made of a profile pipe of rectangular section 60 * 40 mm. The beam on which everything hangs is made of a profile pipe 50x50 mm.
The swing mechanism is a carbine with a diameter of 8 mm. Carabiners are attached to loops that are welded to the beam.
Design features
The base of the "seat" is welded from a profile pipe 40x20 mm with jumpers. The frame is lined with wooden slats 40x20 mm, which are screwed onto the screws.
A corner 50 * 50 mm is welded to the bottom of the seat frame, to which profile pipes 20 * 20 mm are bolted.
The canopy frame is made of a corner to which wooden blocks are bolted. Polycarbonate sheets are attached to them. In hot weather, such a canopy perfectly cleans from direct sunlight.
When unfolded, the swing does not swing. After the backrest leans back, with a piece of chain, it is fixed to the bolt in the lower part of the structure.
As decorative elements, patterns from a metal round bar are welded to the frame. They can be made independently on a bending machine.
