The arch at the entrance to the kitchen or other room in the house and apartment can be made non-standard - rectangular in shape. Moreover, everyone, even a novice home master, will cope with this task.
This idea should appeal to those who are not going to install the door to the kitchen, but do not want to mess with drywall, making a traditional arch.
As the main material for the implementation of this idea, the author uses an ordinary board (edged), which is used in the manufacture of boxes for interior doors, but it goes without a quarter.
The main stages of work
The first step is to cut the boards so that the angle at the ends is 90 degrees. The master first draws a line with the help of a square, and then trims the hand with a circular saw. But if there is a miter saw, then aligning the ends of the board will be even easier.
The next step is the assembly of the frame. The master connects the boards using self-tapping screws. However, previously it will be necessary to drill holes of a slightly smaller diameter than the screws themselves.
Then in the upper and lower part of the box you need to nail the jibs, and one rail in the middle, so that it does not warp during installation. Next, you can proceed to install the box.
